Featherline Privacy Policy

Your data stays on your device.

In short: your data is stored on your device by default. Unless you actively export a backup file, we do not collect it, upload it, or have access to it.

What data we collect

We do not collect any data.

Featherline has no server, no account system, and no third-party analytics or tracking services. Everything you enter in the app — including medication records, medication plans, and blood-concentration-related data — is stored only in the encrypted database on your own device. The developer cannot access it and does not receive any usage data.

How your data is protected

All local data is encrypted using a hardware-bound key provided by Android Keystore. Even if the device is rooted or the database is physically extracted, the encrypted database cannot be decrypted on another device.

Featherline also supports an optional biometric app lock. When enabled, opening the app requires fingerprint or face authentication. This adds another access barrier on top of database encryption.

How data leaves your device

By default, your data never leaves your device.

If you actively use the Backup and Restore feature, Featherline packages your data into an encrypted file. Where this file goes is entirely up to you — you may save it locally, export it to your own cloud drive, or transfer it to another device. The developer does not operate any backup server and never receives these files.

Notifications and system permissions

Featherline only requests permissions needed for local features:

  • Notification permission: used to remind you at scheduled times.
  • Exact alarm permission: used to fire dose reminders at the scheduled minute, including when the device is dozing.
  • Run at startup: used only to re-arm your scheduled reminders after the device restarts.
  • Biometric permission: optional, used only for the app lock.

If you uninstall the app

Local data is deleted when Featherline is uninstalled. Because no data is uploaded externally, there is no server copy that you need to request deletion for.
